British Safety Council announces Mount Anvil Centre of Excellence as International Safety Award Gala Dinner sponsor

The British Safety Council is pleased to announce that the Mount Anvil Centre of Excellence will be sponsoring the 2015 International Safety Awards Gala Dinner.

The award scheme, now in its 57th year, recognises and celebrates the commitment of the winning organisations to keeping their workers and workplaces healthy and safe during the 2014 calendar year.

The Centre of Excellence, a provider of health, safety and first aid courses, is also sponsoring the Health and Safety Champion award, which rewards those individuals who have gone the extra mile in helping to keep their colleagues safe and healthy.

The winners will be announced at the Gala Dinner, which is being held at London’s Grosvenor House Hotel on 24 April 2015.

Mount Anvil is a London-based housing developer and principal contractor. Its Centre of Excellence, which is open to the public and contractors alike, was founded in order for Mount Anvil to share its knowledge and challenge the industry to collectively deliver excellence.

Simon Walker, Mount Anvil’s Health and Safety Director, said:

“Mount Anvil’s number one business goal is world-class health and safety. We believe each person has the right to get home without harm every single day. This is not just a legal responsibility; more importantly, we believe it’s our moral responsibility.

“For Mount Anvil, safety never stops. We are proud to sponsor the British Safety Council’s International Safety Awards Gala Dinner, which promote and reward excellence throughout the UK and beyond.”

Neal Stone, Acting Chief Executive of the British Safety Council, said:

“We are delighted that the Mount Anvil Centre of Excellence is joining us in recognising the efforts of those businesses taking sensible and effective steps to protect employees from the risks of work-related injury and ill health, celebrating their efforts and encouraging other employers everywhere to give workers’ health and safety the priority it rightly deserves.”
