Q: How are learners assessed?

A: Candidates for the qualification are assessed by completing either an online or a paper-based exam.

It consists of 40 multiple-choice questions, which will test candidates on their learning and lasts 60 minutes.

Q: What is the turnaround time for the certificates to be issued?

A: If a candidate chooses to take the exam online, the results will be available immediately. If the candidate has passed, a certificate is issued within two working days. If a candidate chooses to complete a paper-based examination, the results will be issued to the centre.

If the test is completed successfully, a certificate will follow by post within two working days.

Q: What is a CSCS Labourer Card (green card) and why is it required?

A: The Construction Skills Certification Scheme (CSCS) is in place to provide proof that labourers working on construction sites have the required training and qualifications to undertake work. This is vital for maintaining high standards and safety protocols within the construction trade, and ensures that only qualified labourers can undertake construction work.

The Level 1 Health and Safety in a Construction Environment is recognised as one of the requirements towards obtaining the CSCS Labourer Card.

Q: How much does a CSCS Labourer Card (green card) cost?

A: A CSCS Labourer Card (green card) costs £30.00. This can be paid by debit or credit card, or by cheque.
