The 2-day Environmental Sustainability Skills for Managers course aims to provide supervisors and managers with a strategic and operational overview of environmental sustainability as it affects their specific industry and work area.
The course covers the understanding of the strategic opportunities and constraints that environmental sustainability presents organisations; the importance of resource efficiency; the impact of environmental sustainability across the value chain; the impacts of pollution, prevention, control and environmental legislation in organisations; and how employees support environmental sustainability.
The course is taught with practical activities and workshops throughout, with lots of engaging dialogue.

Upon completion of the qualification, learners will:

- Have knowledge and understanding of compliance obligations and business drivers for change

- Demonstrate how employees can improve environmental performance
Who is this course for?
This course is ideally suited for supervisors and managers, with non-environmental backgrounds, across all sectors and has no formal entry requirements.
The IEMA Sustainability for Managers is designed for people who are responsible for improving sustainability and environmental management within their organisation, in the UK and overseas.
What’s the outcome?
Be awarded a Sustainability for Managers certificate from Institute of Environmental Management and Assessment (IEMA), global professional body for over 20,000 individuals and 300 organisations working, studying or interested in the environment and sustainability.
Course requirements
There are no entry requirements for this qualification, however it is important that learners have a suitable standard of English language in order to understand and articulate the concepts contained in the syllabus.

Assessment and results
The assessment for Environmental Sustainability Skills for Managers consists of an online 20 question multiple-choice test and Learners must achieve 70% to pass. The test is completed through the IEMA assessment portal and candidates are sent a link upon registration to the assessment.
You will receive your certificate parchment within 8 weeks of the successful completion of the course.

Learning progression: What’s next?
Once completed, our students often continue their studies by completing a NEBOSH National General Certificate or Foundation in IEMA, or sometimes broadening their knowledge with our shorter courses, such as BSC Risk Assessments.
